This Scholarship was established to encourage female students to undertake study in the School of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at UNSW.
The School of Computer Science and Engineering will generously provide $3,000 for a woman entering a program at the School each year. One scholarship will be awarded each year, subject to finding a suitable applicant.
To be eligible for a Scholarship, an applicant must be:
- female
- Australian citizens or permanent residents
- be proposing to undertake full-time study in an undergraduate program in the School of Computer Science and Engineering at UNSW. These programs include:
- Bioinformatics Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Computer Science
- Software Engineering
- Programs combined with any of the above Programs
In addition, applicants must have undertaken the HSC (or equivalent) in the year prior to commencing study at UNSW.
In addition to completing the standard UNSW Scholarship form, available at http://www.scholarships.unsw.edu.au, applicants should attach a statement addressing the following criteria, and/or attach relevant documentation:
- academic merit
- reasons for undertaking the proposed study of Computing
- demonstrated ability
- leadership qualities
The Scholarship recipient should not normally hold any other Scholarship or Award (except for Youth Allowance/ Abstudy/Austudy) except with the permission of the UNSW Scholarships, Loans and Research Students Office.
